...at Top of the Rock!

Today, May 27th the junior half of the school (junior infants up to 2nd class) enjoyed their Summer school tour. Despite the wet conditions it was evident that the pupils and teachers had a fun filled day at Top of the Rock, Drimoleague. David Ross and his friendly dog were our hosts. He introduced the pupils to a range of farm animals- ducks, geese, lambs, goats, cows, doves and a donkey. The children were thrilled when they got to feed the goats and sheep. Each pupil also got a carrot to feed to the donkey. Some even got to feed ivy to the billy goat.

David spoke about the history of the farm and filled the pupils with facts about the animals.

The pupils really enjoyed the hay maze and the trailer ride. The lemonade and cookies also went down a treat. Special thanks to David and Elizabeth Ross for insuring the children enjoyed it. A great day was had by all.

Hay maze fun:
