It is great to be back at school. March is such a busy month and it is wonderful to be able to enjoy it in the classroom. It is amazing to think that this time last year we were only just learning about Covid-19 and pandemics!
Since we have returned to the classroom we have been very busy. We celebrated World Book Day and Engineers Week our first week back, as well as meeting all our friends again. We enjoyed playing soccer, 'Bulldog' and' Cops and Robbers' in the court during break. Second class are learning how to play chess and will teach first class when we are ready. We love it so far, some of us already knew how to play so we are sharing our knowledge while learning new techniques.
We had a roaring good time drawing and painting our lion heads. We chose to paint lions to represent the month of March and it's well known association with the phrase "In like a lion and out like a lamb".
We are learning all about our counties in geography. We are busy preparing our own individual projects on different counties around Ireland. We will be presenting them soon.
We really enjoyed World Book Day. Coming to school in our pajamas is great as we feel warm, cozy and comfortable all day.
Enjoying 'wet break' in our pods.
